The home of Athletics Canterbury, and Christchurch’s premier international-standard athletics track and field, the venue is located 7.2km from the Christchurch CBD and is on a public transport route. The athletics area features world-class facilities including: 

• 400 metre, nine lane track
• grassed multi-use field area
• covered spectator seating for more than 300 people
• control centre with a photo-finish tower, control room, offices and storage.

There are also practice throw and jump facilities next to the main arena.
